Pair of 18th-century oak "chapiteaux," capitals that form the uppermost section of wall columns, from a chateau in the Bordeaux region of France. Traci thinks these chapiteaux would be magnificently used as art, either mounted directly on the wall or framed in lucite. Traces of gilt paint remain. The chapiteaux are wonderfully "crusty" and exhibit peeling, chipping and flaking.
